Louisa Menke (1984) is a visual artist born in Algeria
and raised in the Netherlands, currently living in Spain.
Her creative journey began in 1996 when she
started skateboarding, eventually becoming a pioneer
in the European female pro skateboarding scene.
In 2009, she enrolled at Utrecht's University of Arts,
where she graduated in 2013.
In 2015, she released the book Some Time to Smile.
In 2017, she co-founded Forgotten Fanclubs,
an independent art publishing house where she designed
and published several books, including two of her own.
Louisa's work is driven by authenticity.
Through photography, film, mixed media and music,
she tells her stories.
